Against the contemporary backdrop of the Palais de Tokyo, Rubin Singer presented a collection that challenged conventional notions of structure, movement and sensuality. Entitled Homomorphism, the Spring/Summer 2027 presentation marked the designer’s return to Paris, offering a deeply personal exploration of his creative identity through architectural construction, unexpected proportions and an intriguing interplay of textures.

For Singer, transformation does not necessarily mean abandoning the past. Instead, it becomes an opportunity to reconsider the foundations of his creative identity, drawing on childhood memories, the discipline of ballet and a multigenerational heritage of European couture craftsmanship.

Throughout the collection, sculptural silhouettes met fluid draping, while sheer fabrics, leather and denim introduced a sophisticated contrast between strength and delicacy. Asymmetrical construction and carefully controlled proportions reflected Singer’s distinctive approach to the female form, balancing theatrical expression with contemporary elegance.

The presentation demonstrated how familiar elements can acquire new significance through thoughtful reinterpretation. Rather than pursuing novelty for its own sake, Singer explored the possibilities of refinement, allowing the relationship between fabric, structure and movement to take centre stage.

For ARRVL Magazine, Homomorphism offered a compelling perspective on the evolution of contemporary fashion, where technical craftsmanship and personal history converge to shape a designer’s vision.
The variables may change. The structure remains.
